| Registration: All Domain Names pointing to our Nameservers are required to be either initially registered or transferred to our Domain Name Registration service, to arrange to have your domain transferred please use the following link: https://www.supplylink.com.au/accounts/cart.php?a=add&domain=register
Management: If you have registered or transferred your domain to us please use the following link to manage your domain name: https://dit3049.partnerconsole.net/ You will also need the username and password provided after your purchase. If you have lost or misplaced this information please open a support ticket (a retrieval fee may apply)
Hosting: The following applies to clients that have their domain with us and also use our hosting service. If for some reason your site is not viewable the most common reason is an issue with the DNS and if we do not manage the DNS this causes you two time consuming and costly issues: 1) If your site is not viewable you think it is your hosting service (us) and you check the server status and it is fine, (if the server status is OK it is probably a DNS issue) you open a support ticket thinking it is something else to do with the hosting pacakge however it is the DNS, we then check your ticket to find we do not manage the DNS and advise you in the ticket, you then have to check with your domain name registrar only to find there is a DNS issue - the problem is eventually rectified. By us not managing your DNS this issue caused by a 3rd party has cost us both unnecessary time and money - this is something neither of us want. When we manage the DNS if there is an issue we will in most cases know about the issue before you do and our techs will already be working towards a resolution before you contact us. 2) If at some stage we need to transfer your domain name to another server for maintenance or improved performance then the transfer is simplified as we can change the DNS internally and your domain will be offline for the least amount of time, probably only seconds. If we do not manage the domain and cannot change the DNS then we must send you an email advising of the change, you then must login to the domain name registrar and if you know what is required then change the DNS for the domain and then notify us of the changes when completed. This is cumbersome, time consuming and costs both of us time and money which neither of us want.
This is why as part of our terms we require that you use our Domain Name registration service when you use our hosting services so we can properly manage your domains DNS, saving us both time and money.
When you use our domain name registration service the following applies: 1) You do not loose any existing registration period it is simply transferred; 2) The domain name license remains the property of the registered owner (probably you); 3) The registered owner has full control of the domain name license whether it is a new domain or a transferred domain. If the domain already exists everything relating to the domain remains the same except the Registrar and the DNS which is changed to match our servers if required.
